Transform your master bedroom for less than $60
Yep you heard that right. I completely transformed my master bedroom for $60 (ok – it was actually $67 but that didn’t flow as nicely LOL) and I’m going to show you a few sneak peak photos because there are still a few projects waiting to be finished and a few furniture pieces waiting to be purchased so a sneak peak is all y’all get for now.

When Kyle and I built our home in 2014 I decided to paint the entire house Stonington Grey by Benjamin Moore because it was just easy. Fast forward to 2017 and I was so sick of the grey and wanted to brighten up the walls in the entire home. Our master bedroom was one of the last rooms to get re-painted and I’m kicking myself in the butt for not knowing about the Canadian Tire Premier paint line sooner because it’s SO good you guys. K who am I kidding I still have a few rooms that desperately need a coat of paint LOL.

Being on mat leave forces you to have a budget so IMO painting the walls is a quick, inexpensive way to transform a space. It should be no surprise that of all the 1000+ colours the Premier line has to offer I went with one of the white shades. After going back and forth on a few options I decided on Polar Bear and I truly believe it’s the perfect white. Not too warm and not too cool (just like I love my coffee) lol. The Premier paint line has zero VOC’s, applies smooth AF anddddd the best part it does NOT splatter which TG because ain’t nobody got time to lay down drop cloths, HA.

I do plan on keeping the walls very minimalist however I knew I wanted large prints of Lincoln somewhere in our home and the master bedroom seemed like the perfect place. These 3×4′ engineered prints are from Parabo Express and retail for $25 a piece. I wish the paper was a little thicker and the ink was a little less blue however they still look great in the space and will look even better when I exchange the wood poster rails (which are also from Parabo) with an actual frame.

To give the room a more modern vibe I had Kyle cut the headboard 16″ shorter which didn’t cost a dime and it looks so much better.

Overall like I mentioned above I love the Canadian Tire Premier Infinity paint and it will definitely be my go-to paint moving forward. Stay tuned for future updates on the master bedroom! I have big plans and a small budget because #poorAFonmatleave LOL.
XO
Love what you did to the headboard! It looks amazing!
Thanks Jess! I’m so happy we made it shorter!!!!
